Nine of the other ten samples had low levels of some type of flame retardant, with this one sample being the only high level.
The good doctor says there is no reason to stop buying butter since the high level was just in one sample and they did not perform a large sample across the whole U.S.
Wow, doc I feel so much better…wait no I don’t! What the hell is wrong with this picture? You took a very small sampling of butter from all across the country and you just happen to get one that has a ridiculous amount of a toxic substance which does not belong in food, EVER. But we are just supposed to keep buttering our toast with this stuff? And a question, please. How much flame retardant is acceptable anyway? I mean really.
I’m sure the good doc was just practicing a little CYA before the some major corporation came after him, but buttering up the American people to the point of saying go ahead and keep buying that butter because I’m sure that everything is just fine since I don’t have all the fact? Well, sounds like business as usual. Eat up America!

eco-clothing

I love being eco-friendly. And much of the time hunting down that green product can be kind of fun, but when trying to find eco-clothing I have to say...what the hell? Can someone please make clothing other than t-shirts, yoga pants, and clothes that just drape off your body. For the weekend, it's great, but as a professional, I can not meet with people looking like I'm on my way to the gym or the beach. I appluad the effort eco-designers are making, but there has to be a wider range of styles. There is a lot of talk about the materials being hard to work with, but look, if the designers on project runway can be dropped off at a recycling center for materials and 8 hours later there is a model walking down the runway in couture...

Wash Your Hands of Clean Coal

Why are we still discussing Clean Coal technology?

I do not understand why we are willing to spend millions of dollars to figure out how to make dirty energy sources clean when clean ones already exist, especially, when any given dirty energy is a non-renewable resource. Why wait until we are in a true crisis before we do what is ultimately inevitable?

It has been 40 years since we sent a man to the moon. There are cars that can run solely on water. We live in an age where we can instantly access information or converse with people around the globe. We have even successfully cloned sheep and other animals. The earth in all it’s wisdom has provided us with everything that we need. We are beyond the point of trying to resurrect dinosaurs; it is time to leave the fossil fuels buried where they belong.

Humans currently ingest enough synthetic compounds and absorb enough radiation in our lifetime to turn our burial grounds into depositories for hazardous substances.
